Gossiping

People now a days love gossiping about other people behind their back. Is that good or bad? Maybe when you're hearing what people gossip about is good. But that will make us more paranoid that there might people talking bad about us behind our back. That will make us less likely to trust people easily. You will not be able to see who's a 'two-faced' person. You start doubting your closest friend. You start to doubt everyone. Gossip might be able to let you know more inside information about another person. This is how people can influence people to believe that gossip and stay that thinking in their mind. I used to get outcast in my ITE life through the same way, being the topic people gossip about. To me, it's not a very good idea to gossip but if that gossip is only within the people that you usually hang out with, then it might be fun to hear.

Getting sick

It's the end of September and the start of October. People are starting to get sick. I'm currently down with a very bad sore throat which makes me very irritated as I couldn't talk loudly now. I can't laugh out loud too. What makes it even worst is that we did our final presentation today during Introduction to Visual Arts & I did it with a sore throat. It hurt so bad to have to talk loudly but there's no other choice left for me.

I think the main reason why people get sick now a days is that we've been doing our works till pass midnight. Lack of sleep may be the reason we are all sick. We shall rest right after all this stress!

Games that contain violent

Violent games are getting more common now. Kids now a days are playing too much games containing violent. Is this good or bad? I, myself, got to know violence in gaming since primary six. To me, it's not a very big affect in my life. I'm still a normal person even till right now. But maybe to some people, it's not a very good thing. Maybe to them, they are afraid that people that play violent games will turn to become a serial killer.

To me, I know that a game will always be a game. Never will I adapt what I learn in games in real life. So far I have not seen anyone that apply what they learn in game in real life. Including violent.

What's your childhood like?

Still remember what you played during your childhood life? Still remember how we used to cry when our parents don't want to buy the toys we wanted? Those were the days. During my time, transformer and toy cars are my favorite toys. I love spending time at my friend's house, sharing our toys.

Another things that i love doing was to go to the park to play at the playground and swings. Playing hide-and-seek at the void deck. We even created our own kind of hide-and-seek. Like block catching, car park catching, ice and water. I just miss those old days. During that time, we don't have much homework to burden us down. We don't have to worry about homework due date. I actually hope that we could go back to those days.

School Of Zombies.

Been hearing from my classmates that most of them are doing work past midnight. Which makes me wonder, will the school be filled with "zombie" students soon? I doubt we're the only class that did our work past midnight. It's already 4:30am right now and I'm still here writing a blog post. I know that I will soon, too, become a "zombie". I'm still trying to get use to this kind of school life. Staying up late to do our work. During the first few weeks of school, students came to school wearing such fashionable clothes and all of them look so extremely happy to start the day. Now, not much people seem to care about what they're wearing anymore. Everyone looks the same. The "panda" eyes. All the yawns... TO ALL MY NAFA MATES! LET'S WORK FIRST AND ENJOY LATER!

Sewed-on sole for shoe.

Shoes that i bought are normally shoes that have sewed-on sole. Sewed-on sole shoe are normally more expensive than normal shoe and are mostly made out of leather. It's not that I'm rich or whatever. It's just that I can't wear normal stick-on sole shoe as it only takes me at most a few month to break the sole. I've no idea why I always spoil the shoe within months. Sewed-on sole shoes always last longer for me as it don't tear easily. The disadvantage of having sewed-on sole is that it's mostly more expensive than normal shoe, it's hard to find and water can sip in the holes of the sewing spot and make your soaks wet. But all this disadvantage can't be compared to the fact that I couldn't wear normal shoe. So far I only have four pairs of shoe to wear. Pathetic but yeah, it's true.

Heart-to-heart talk

I love having heart-to-heart talk with friends that I'm really comfortable around. I love hearing what my friends problems are. Having a heart-to-heart talk not only allows you to get to know each other's feeling but also help each other to relieve a burden in their heart. Talking your problems out with someone is not an easy task but at least you know you're not alone in this journey. You get to hear what advice people got to say. You get to learn about people mistakes and try not to do it yourself. There's no specific time to have a heart-to-heart talk. Anytime, anywhere is good for a heart-to-heart talk. Be it a call, text or meet up, it always feels great talking out your troubles to someone close.

Stress by school works.

After entering NAFA, projects kept coming in like crazy. Soon, it will be assessment week and I still have a lot more project to do. I'm starting to feel the stress building up. My brain is totally dried up right now. There's no more ideas left in my brain. I'm the kind of person that don't really work well under stress. Staying up late to do projects was never my type. I've never need to stay up late just to do project during my ITE life. I finally understand why my polytechnic friends are all so stress up. I'll just take this as a challenge in my life and stop slacking around~

Will computer gaming do us any good?

Will computer gaming do us any good? What can we really gain from gaming? Parents often complaint that their children play too much computer games. Saying how much homework they neglected. Most people also believe gaming will affect your studies and reason why most people fail their exams are due to computer games. But is it all really true?
What i think is the totally opposite. I have friends who done really well in their studies but they play computer games almost every night. Sometimes, they can play till midnight 4am. My friends even said gaming helped them to calculate better and without the use of calculator as when in a critical moment in game, you won't have time to take your calculator and calculate for you. You have to mentally calculate it in your mind. Some even say their skill to remember some things for a really long time is also due to gaming. But is that really true? Why will parents say that children neglect their studies? I think it's most likely due to lack of sleep. People can't really focus well if they don't have enough sleep. I've been there, done that. What's your opinion towards computer gaming? Good or bad? Your choice.

Will parks disappear one day?

What is a park to you? Today I want to talk about the futures of park. Will it still be there or will it disappear? The main reason why I want to talk about it is that children now a days have all the iPhone, iPad, Computer, Internet, Online Games, SMS, Skype. All those items that are fun and sometimes, makes things more easier. You can now talk with friends from another country without having to write letter and wait for a few weeks or months for their reply. It's so much easier right now.

But putting those things aside, let's think for awhile. What is a park to you? For me, I spend most of my childhood in the park, playing hide-and-seek, hop-scotch, blind mice etc. People go there to play sports too, like badminton, soccer and a lot more. That was way back in the 1990s. But what about now?

It has come to my attention that more and more children are using phones for games and most of their time will be spent play computer games at home with their friends. They are becoming more and more cyber. Are the parents now a days pampering their child too much or afraid that something bad might happen if they went to the park? Or are the kids now a days more lazy to go out and play as life now is so much easier with all the technologies? What will happen when this kids turned 80? Will there still be a park? Since kids don't often go park to play anymore, will the government close down all the parks one day due to waste of space? What do you think?

The FRIENDSHIP continue in NAFA

On the second day of the orientation, the moment when we know our class, I was so sad to hear that I'm being posted to a different class with my ITE friend. I had a phobia of being outcast again by my classmates. How are they gonna be? What will they hate about me? How can I make them not outcast me? How am I going to survive without my ITE friend? The first day I step into the class, I didn't dare to talk to anyone as I was so scared that they might be like my ITE classmates. But it turns out the total opposite of what I feared. They didn't hate me and they accept me for who I am. My new buddies in NAFA taught me so much stuff. I learnt that we must persevere on from Alecs. Rig taught me to be 'happy-go-lucky'. I learnt from Aaron that it's okay to be crazy and funny when you feel like it & so many more people I couldn't mention! They taught me how to live a meaningful NAFA life. It's really sad to know that we will soon be going to our own major and we might not have the chance to see each other in school anymore. Hopefully we could have a outing sometime in the near future to catch up on the good old times. :D

This are just some awesome people from my awesome class

My journey of FRIENDSHIP

You might not be able to tell that I'm a guy with no much friends during my past school days, but sadly it's all true. During my primary school life, I was outcast by most of the guys in my school as I'm a class monitor(shocking but, ya). I then started hanging out with girls but then I was being called names which I don't feel like mentioning. I then moved on to secondary school which at first turned out to be my best school memories ever as I managed to be in a clique with all guys. I thought being good in school was a bad thing from my experience in my primary school so i turned to the not good side(i wouldn't rate myself as bad back then as I've seen people who are worst then me). I started staying out late outside, playing computer games non-stop and my body clock literally got screwed up. My studies started dropping like gravity. In the end, I landed myself in the not so good class in Normal Academic. I was separated from my clique and life went hell again. My clique had internal argument and we are all no longer friends anymore. My class was a hell of my bunch as almost everyone in the class had no mood for studies. It made me feel that way too and I landed up in ITE. I told myself that i shall survive through ITE with no friends but in ITE, people with no friends are the people that often get pushed around. I then started trying to communicate with my classmates but most of them hated me as I'm good in my computer stuff. They even created a clique that outcast me. I manage to make some friends & we are still friends now. I survived my two years in ITE with them. One of them even made it to NAFA with me.

This are pictures that I took with the friends that I really appreciate.

Ignatius, the big guy!

This is Ignatius trying to act like a little samurai
I was shocked to see Ignatius in the class during the first day of Creative Thinking. As I am exempted from Drawing Fundamentals, I'm the only one that hasn't seen Ignatius before. At first I thought he is a friend of Alecs's and he sneak in our class. But Ignatius then told me that he will only be in the same class as us for Drawing Fundamentals and Creative Thinking.

Ignatius is a very out-going guy. He's not the kind of guys that couldn't take jokes. Hanging out with him was a hell lots of fun. Ignatius is a very easy-to-approach guy as he doesn't have those typical "stay-away-from-me" look. Almost to mention that Ignatius is a very tall and big guy. He makes almost everyone in the class look small.

Have a tour around this big guy's blog:http://f20070434vaf1031.blogspot.sg/

Bryan Halim, the indo king

This guy is call Bryan Halim

Bryan is the first Indonesian-Chinese guy friend that i know. Bryan somehow give me a feeling that he ain't a Indonesian-Chinese at all. Though the way he talk may sound like one but the way he get along with us is so much different when I ask people how's their Indonesian friend like. The first day i saw Bryan, Indonesian-Chinese never came to my mind as I don't often see Indonesian around. During my ITE life, there wasn't any Indonesian so I can't tell whether he is one or not. During my ITE life, every race normally stick to people who are the same race as them. But Bryan is different, he dare to speak out to us, not afraid that he might not know how to communicate with us as we live in a totally different world. Speaking Bahasa Indonesia was never a choice for him when he's with us but he never back out from us. Being with him was so much fun too as he's willing to teach us his language. He also never fail to take the opportunity to pick up some Chinese from us too. Though i may not know why he have to learn it or why he wants to but it may be for the same reason we want to learn Bahasa Indonesia.

Candid of BRYAN!

Aaron Ho, the crazy guy!

This is the crazy dude Aaron!
First time i saw him, i thought he was just some secondary school kid that just done his 'O' level. Why did i say that? The way he talk and how he can laugh all the time without fail. When i got to know him a little bit more, he made me realise that we can't judge a book by it's cover. The moment he told me that he is twenty-one years old and the fact that he completed his National Service and that he ride a motorbike, my view for him change. At that very moment, i thought he was those typical gangster as his ride looks kinda bad ass.

This is Aaron's ride in the image on the left

Turns out that he's just a bike craze. He will go up to anyone's bike and just stand there and examine it.

Aaron can also drive a car too!

Aaron never fail to make me laugh all the time
This guy can be so random at times and that may be the point that makes him such a fun guy to hang out with. He might not look like his age but when he start talking serious matter, the way he normally talk will be different. I've never seen a sad face on Aaron's face at all. He seems like those kind of happy-go-lucky guy. But bad point is that you never know when is he really feeling down unless you're really close to him.

A link to Aaron's blog will be a good idea to see what i'm trying to say : http://f13dm0245vaf1031.blogspot.sg/

Alecson, the beanie guy

This is Alecs with his famous beanie.
The very first moment I saw Alecs, I thought that he was a Malay. Never did I know that he was actually a Spanish-Filipino. What's even more shocking was that he was actually a year my junior in my secondary school. We are both from Pei Hwa Secondary School. He is talented in so many ways. Alecs can play the guitar really well and can also draw REALLY REALLY well. He is also very motivated to training up his body. Alecs is the first guy I've met that love wearing a beanie. Plus, he looks good in it too.
This was taken during creative thinking

Here Alecs's blog! : http://f133d0160.blogspot.sg/

Xuan Ren, the young boy

This is Xuan Ren
Xuan Ren is considered the youngest boy in our class. My first impression for this boy was that he looks like a JC student as he has that good-boy looking face and he look smart. Never had i imagine that he is a very innocent child. Xuan Ren is a HUGE soccer fan. He can talk about soccer non-stop if someone start a topic related to soccer. I can't say that I love how Xuan Ren dress himself but everybody have different taste of style. He is one of the most unique dressing guy friend I ever had. Xuan Ren innocence made us love disturbing him. Sometimes we may have went overboard without realising it. In my opinion, this boy is a person that is very easy to get along with. I really do enjoy being in the same class as Xuan Ren.

Here's Xuan Ren's blog just in case. : http://f133d0358vaf1031.blogspot.sg/

Rig, the guy who bottles things up inside himself.

This is a candid of Rig
Rig is a really interesting guy in my opinion. My first impression of Rig was that i thought that he's those kind of person that don't talk much in class. Didn't really believe that he will stand out among the class. He was being sabotaged by my other classmates to be the class representative. At first, it was just for 3D fundamentals. Then for Introduction to Visual Arts and soon became class representative for all our modules. Rig is a very kind-hearted guy but has also a very low self-esteem.

He's never confident in his own work. Rig never felt that his work is any good. Whenever i ask him for advice in work, he always told me to go find someone else as his work is not very good. He didn't dare to speak out often as he is afraid that he might say the wrong thing.

There are a lot of good things about Rig too. Rig will always lend a helping hand in things that he could do. He never fails to try his best to help his beloved classmates. I love talking to Rig as the more you get to know him, Rig actually have a fun and crazy side.

Rig IS a person who tends to keep most things to himself as he don't often tell people what he's thinking or how's he feeling. Maybe we have to get along with Rig more often. Maybe then he will speak out to us.

Or maybe have a look at his blog might help us understand him a little. (:

ITE Final Year Project ; Store in Changi Airport

My Final Year Project in ITE was to create a store in Changi Airport terminal 2. I chose to sell clothes, shoes and accessories. Some people might be tired from a long hour flight so i tried to use more spotlights instead of big ceiling lights. To give the place a more high-class feel, i used galaxy marble flooring. I named my store "Code Of Nature". And to bring out the meaning of my store name, I applied my simple style into the design by using wood to give a nature feel to the store. I made a featured wall in my store just to kill the big plain wall that was there.

This is my design of the store.

Pub Design

In my 2nd year In ITE, my first exhibition project was to design a pub. The scale is slightly larger as compared to house but the number of seats you have to put in that design is a lot more than a house design. High tables and high chairs must also be put into considerations. My idea of simplicity must be put to the test. How can i design a pub which is simple yet attracting? This is counted as one of my 'failed' project I've done. We also have to think of a logo design for our shop too and i named mine, "Drunk Music".

This is some of my design of the pub.
This is the logo design for the pub.

First try to do an Exterior Garden Design

During my 2nd year in ITE, we are given a project whereby we have to use our Interior Design skills to help a community. I'm in charge of making the 3Ds Max design of my project. My team chosen to help a kindergarden near my school to design a playground right outside the kindergarden so the children could play in. It was a very fun and challenging project as we have never studied anything about exterior design. The experience i got from there was worth remembering. I still remember how much i struggle to the scale of exterior as compared to interior. In interior, we have limit space to design in, but on the exterior, the space is so much more. we have to be really careful when planning the scale of the slides and swings.

This is some of my designs of the playground.
